Project Overview


Wakeful Travel is a mindful journal company creating tools for transformation, including integration, microdosing, cultivation, and travel journals. As a bootstrapped startup entering a niche industry, we faced the challenge of building credibility, securing funding, and developing distribution channels to successfully bring our first product line to market.

Objective


Our goal was to launch Wakeful Travel as a trusted brand in the psychedelic wellness and conscious travel space by creating high-quality, purpose-driven journals. The strategy needed to combine brand storytelling, grassroots funding, and strategic partnerships to establish credibility in an emerging market.


Beyond simply selling products, the goal was to position Wakeful Travel as an ally in personal growth and transformation—providing individuals and facilitators with tools designed to guide meaningful journeys and integration practices.

Scope of Work


We led the end-to-end creation and launch of the company:


Funding & Launch Strategy

  • Designed and executed a Kickstarter campaign, raising $15K+ to fund the first production run.

  • Crafted brand messaging and storytelling to resonate with early adopters and conscious communities.


Product Development

  • Designed and launched multiple professionally crafted journals for integration, microdosing, cultivation, and mindful travel.

  • Developed both direct-to-consumer and B2B sales channels to maximize reach and accessibility.


Partnerships & Distribution

  • Partnered with therapists, facilitators, retreats, and coaches to integrate journals into client offerings.

  • Negotiated wholesale and distribution agreements with retreat centers and aligned organizations.


Brand Building & Credibility

  • Built credibility through collaborations with industry leaders including Retreat Guru, Third Wave, and DoubleBlind.

  • Positioned Wakeful Travel as a values-driven, intentional brand committed to mindful transformation.

Outcome


The launch of Wakeful Travel successfully transformed an idea into a growing mindful lifestyle brand. The Kickstarter campaign generated over $15K, funding the first product line and validating demand in the market. Professionally designed journals were launched and quickly adopted across both D2C and B2B channels, with partnerships expanding the brand’s reach into retreats, therapy practices, and coaching programs.


Wholesale and distribution deals solidified Wakeful Travel’s presence in the psychedelic wellness ecosystem, while collaborations with respected industry leaders boosted brand visibility and credibility.


What began as a bootstrapped experiment has grown into a recognized brand offering practical, beautifully designed tools for transformation—empowering individuals and communities to approach travel, integration, and growth with mindfulness and intention.
